Safe sleep is something I am PASSIONATE about.

I cringe every time I enter a Mommy Group on Facebook and see a picture of a child’s crib situation with bumpers, extra blankets, a pillow, etc.

When designing the “picture perfect” nursery while you’re pregnant, it can be hard to avoid the “fluff.” The fluff is the excess. The pillows, the bumper pads, the mobiles, the blankets, the everything.

All of these beautiful, stylish items are good to look at, but not to sleep with. They all pose a scary suffocation risk for your sweet babe.

It’s simple - cribs are meant for a fitted sheet and your baby and THAT’S IT.

I dive into this topic a little deeper through this Youtube Video. Be sure to listen to the end & if you want to check out the AAP guidelines on safe sleep for yourself, here is the link.
